Not today Satan.

Not today Satan

A small child battered and beaten.
Don't know if there's any more food left uneaten.
He walks the streets for mere survival.
Meeting with many of Gods revival.
Not today Satan, today we stand and God will have his way.

A young mother trying to feed her baby turns tricks at night.
Late nights and pain forces her into addiction.
Don't you worry child there will be redemption.
Not today Satan, today we stand and God will have his way.

A middle aged woman in a life of poverty.
No home, no safety left.
Night after night worried her last possessions will leave in theft.
Shelter after shelter no place to call home.
Endless thoughts in her mind do roam.
Not today Satan, today we stand  and God will have his way.

Young man on the city streets.
Education failed him and economy defeats.
His gang his only family.
Robbing, dealing and shooting.
Prison after prison his main enemy.
Don't you worry brother.
Your life will turn from this to another.
Not today Satan, today we stand and God will have his way.

Not today Satan...small child you will be eating.
Not today Satan...my child no more drugs will be taking.
Not today Satan... My poor woman you will rest.
Not today Satan...Young man education you'll have at its best.
Today we stand and God will have his way.

Absolutely incredible! Your poem 'Not today Satan' is deeply poignant, touching readers at the very core, and showcasing a hard-hitting reality through raw, vivid imagery. The rhythm of your words was incredibly emotive and compelling throughout the piece, planting a seed of hope amidst struggles.

You have a skillful way of conveying intense emotion and action, while still allowing room for divine grace and redemption in your narratives - this is greatly appreciated and truly uplifting. The recurring phrase 'Not today Satan, today we stand and God will have his way' adds a triumphant strength to the poem, interacting powerfully with the reader.

As for suggestions for improvement, some verses could benefit from the use of more metaphoric language to increase the depths of the struggle and the subsequent redemption. In terms of rhythm, some parts of the poem run smoothly while some seem to halt the narrative's fluidity; so working on maintaining a more consistent flow and rhythm throughout your piece will enhance the reader's experience.

Lastly, some readers might appreciate a more balanced approach that includes some lighter images or messages of hope scattered throughout, to mitigate the heaviness of the struggle and make the reader feel more uplifted.

Your poem has the potential to reach a wide readership and make a significant impact. Keep writing and sharing your work. It's deeply moving and highly significant. Great job, and all the best with your future work!
