BEGINNING LIFE AGAIN (Villanelle)

I think I need to start my life anew,
Does anybody know where the reset button is?
Now I know everything I wish I knew.

I worried so much about my future's view,
That I didn't live any moment of my past,
I think I need to start my life anew.

I was so burdened by my past's screw,
So burdened that I became completely paralyzed,
Now I know everything I wish I knew.

I wanted the perfect future, 'nothing should go askew'
But how do you make a perfect future worried and burdened?
I think I need to start my life anew.

Today is the day to build the future I knew,
Because if I don't act today the tomorrow remains the same,
Now I know everything I wish I knew.

My burdens and worries made sure I never flew,
They pinned me down, too paralyzed to change my past or my future,
I think I need to start my life anew,
Now I know everything I wish I knew.
