Autumn Love

Autumn Love

The Sun and the breeze come gently
Autumn love flows over me
Chopin, Beethoven and John Field
Piano music fills my ears
Fried food smells and
People watching
All by myself
I am alive
With a softness
Burning the leaves
Red, yellow and brown.

Savoring the sights and sounds
Autumn love washes over me
Piano Sonata Number 8
In C minor cascades
Old Ludwig’s melody
It falls on my ears
Touching my soul
Where peace
In your absence
Makes its happy home
As you fade away.

Summer moves on making way
For Autumn love to color me
As the sun sets itself
This burnt orange glow
Descends on sadness
A different sunshine
Emerges from inside
I embrace and exhale
The tranquility
Heartbreak passes
Only I remain and well.
