Stars Under Cloudy Skies

Stars Under Cloudy Skies

Destiny awaits as stars under cloudy skies
The mud I tread through
Makes things tough going
Rain pours in unending rounds
The future is hard to see
Beneath showers
Falling on my tearful face
My stubborn feet won’t stop
Plodding is still progress
And the stars are still up there.

Sunshine still lights up the moon at night
Generating hope inside me
What I think I become
What I feel I attract
And what I imagine I create
The darkest hours are before dawn
Clouds may obscure
But winds change and blow away
Obstacles to success
And before honor comes humility.

Daring to do great means to shine bright
I am in the arena for a reason
It takes courage to advance
Wisdom to retreat
And cowardice to do nothing
I am an army of one
Moving forward under cloudy skies
The stars will change
Because I choose to go on
Until night turns to morning.

About this poem

Adversity just means stars shine under cloudy skies; it will pass when you keep going and never give up.
