Rejection

Relationships
I have never been allowed them
Always under a thumb
I had entanglements
That is not the same thing
Those tethered feel they have control
By manipulation of my emotions
But they don't even understand them
Their own or mine
So it doesn't matter what they think
That's abusive so I don't attach to it
If they walk away
That is relief
I was tethered against my will
The distance is relief
Rejection
Isn't that to me
People who weaponize such actions
Aren't worthy of my best
So it's not a loss to me
I don't even consider any relationship that ends
Including friendship
A rejection
It's simply two people or more
Going their separate ways
That's life
That's human
It's not a mystery
What I consider rejection
Really only could come from the kind of bond
That comes with a true relating
Nothing fake
Like between mother and child
Or other family
If you make no investment in me
I find it a relief if you walk away
The loss of dead weight
Is empowering
Rejection isn't a weakness for me
I don't seek acceptance to begin with
So
What does it matter to me
If someone who seeks to reject
To intentionally inflict pain
Walks away
It means
So Be It
