A Womans Love For The Horse

A woman is not lost if she can find
true happiness when she is alone
For that is when she will search her mind
for the true love that she has known

For in the heart of such a woman
her horses are her love
to her this creature is not common
amongst all creatures it stands above

Every morning her days begin very early indeed
caring for the horse at the track or the farm
She understands happeness is success wih opportunity
And hard work never did anyone no harm

To her, life didn't promise dreams would come true
and all that mattered was that the horse was her friend
Her ability to win races was all she had to prove
and the Winner's Circle was where she would be in the end

One day the Call To The Post will play
but her joy will prevail with her horses by her side
And God's angels will come and take her away
to that great race track in the sky

There might be sadness at her last ride
and many will be biding thier last adieus
But her horses will be waiting for her to arrive
Because her love for them is old news
