I Never Really Loved

I only have eyes for one person but I appreciate everyone in my life
I do not declare that I am perfect nor the solitude put upon a wife
I feel what you are giving not by word's typed or said by mouth
Only from your sincerity and your tone without a doubt
I never really loved...not the way most chain their other to
I'd rather have a beer and shot some pool with you
Don't misunderstand me who ever is reading this
Couples can have friendship long after their first kiss
But when one is understanding and the other refuses to
That's a misguided missile and is aimed at destroying you
If my memory serves me correctly love cannot be forced
It flows between two people and will never change its course
