Happiness
Charles Fields II 1955 (Fort Bragg, NC)
Imagine a sailor
gone too long
from home,
family and loved ones…
returning to familiar sights,
sounds, smells and tastes…
memories
returning with the tides
Reminders of the simpler things
to appreciate
You think about
and makes you smile…
which cannot be replaced…
Of devoted souls, together
Cooking recipes with compassion,
the freshest, finest ingredients
crowned a loving garnish
Seasonings perfectly
balancing the spice of life
As musical expressions
of mellow magic
play in our minds and hearts
almost overwhelmed
by intense pleasure
being shared in our lives
with people who appreciate our kindness,
their being blessed with like minds
Showing love in familiar ways,
a touch, a rub, a hug and kiss,
tender moments
raised with loving care,
like waves of compassion
calling from their hearts to ours,
to climax in ways touching upon
our soul’s gift to one another
hidden secrets
to be blessed
for reasons
we exist…
With a transfusion
of a spark …
of eternal
bliss
