Administering Justice

Who is it left,
With an unblemished integrity.
And appointed to sit,
In a position to administer...
An appropriate justice.
If corruption has been permitted,
Done to allow a selected few in view...
To get away with it to do.
As the public observes to witness,
This activity is nothing new!

Only those who believe to perceive,
Themselves to be above the law.
Have proven they are.
To know the ones passing judgement?
Are also just as flawed.

Corruption and criminal,
Misdeeds done to do these days.
Has increasingly become a way of life.
As if normalized to stay.

Who is it left that can be trusted,
To defend without it pretended...
They sit to represent,
A justice administered upon everyone...
Regardless of their status.
Or where they live to have influential friends.
With upturned noses raised to the sky.
And a self righteous untouchable importance.
Kept inside in their minds as if to pride,
A doing to commit injustices upon others.

Yet...
Can not accept,
The very ones appointed...
They selected to effectively protect,
Every evil thing they do to refuse to accept...
Laws and rules have been created and made,
To ensure they stay to remain obeyed.

And...
If that is not done,
The ones who are just as corrupted...
Although sitting in a position,
Administering justice.
Know they have the power,
Any hour of any day to excuse themselves.
To then lower the noses,
Of the ones sitting their aspirations...
On the backs of the highest of horses.
With a reminding them to make it clear,
Imitating to be chosen deities...
Portraying to display this publicly.
May find this performance better to expect,
Behind bars locked up in a prison cell.

To get...
And it promised.
All the attention done to reminisce,
With other prisoners claiming they too...
Had been also innocent.
Of having their wings clipped.
In the midst of performing...
Dramatic Oscar worthy acts.
Yet prematurely arrested,
Before the ending...
Of their not to see what the could do,
Stealing the last scene away...
From others.
Who chose not to follow a 'perfect' script!

'Tell me this about that script.
Who wrote and directed it?
Would it happen to have been,
Someone claiming to be the only one...
Capable to fix everything.
Because he could get away,
Without paying taxes.
And also shoot someone on 5th Avenue.
Done to do and no one would say a word?'

'Yes.
How did you know that?'

'I have been given enough time,
To develop both my mind reading skills.
As well as my clarevoyant abilities!'

'Wow.
How long did that take?'

'Well...
After realizing for years,
Awaiting to be pardoned...
For my own mistakes made.
While awakening from unconsciousness,
I administered upon myself.
Using my head.
Believing I could escape away,
From these prison walls.

Now...
The only faith I have left to keep,
Is my hope to share my cell...
With a much younger cell mate!'

'LOL...
That's funny.
You are hysterical.
Why are you staring at me like that?'

'After awhile,
It's not about age at all.
It's all about the performance!'
