I’m powerless to write about the beauty
in which I see in the crinkle of those eyes when you smile
the way you want to eat healthy but refuse to eat vegetables
and the love you hold for your little sister
to the music in your accent evident in every word you speak and careless whisper
I’m brought to my knees when I think about your hands
how delicate each finger is
and when I fantasize how perfect they would feel interlaced with mine
your laugh makes me weak
but it’s the faded pink in your hair that makes it so hard for me to speak
I know we’re not even friends
and I’m not who you are going to spend your weekends with
I can’t help dreaming that’s it is me who gets to feel your kiss
