Debt Free

No evil to do it done,
Consciously.
With intent meant,
To continue on endlessly.
Debt free.
Has a price to pay.
Everyday.
As more interest is applied.
By those observing to watch,
What it is they are deserving...
As a judgement returning,
The taste to savor the flavor...
Earned.

Once criticized to deny they had been.
A place to sit at a table.
Not only did they build to make!
But force to fight among themselves.
Over garbage thrown into the backyard.
In the hope they would separate and divide.
To expect they would accept,
A deception full of told to tell lies.
By a chef taking all the credit.
Indebting them to subservience.
Mistreatment.
And public indignities!

Until caught in the act.
Without excuses or alibis to use,
From a list a prior expectations to accuse.
That very same chef had no one left,
To assist, help or contribute...
Their credibility to waste.
On knowing they would be next,
To become betrayed like all the rest...
Who believed their loyalty kept.
Immuned them from being,
Arrested and judged for their stupidity!

'But...
We only did what the chef told us to do!'

'And...
With that confession.
Did you all together,
Enjoy the festivities?!'

'Uh...
Your Honor?
What should we say?'

'Hmmm...
Good question.
But my answer is guilty.
Guilt by association.
Leaving no one not even you,
Debt free!
And...
Your requested accommodations?
Await to keep you safely behind bars!'

'Whew!
That's a relief.
Is the bartender experienced?
I prefer my martini dry.
With an olive and a twist of lime.'

'LOL...
Of course.
And you will enjoy the massage too.
Assigned to all of you.
In the comfort of our private showers.'

'Your Honor?
Some of us requested bubble baths.'

'Trust me...
All of your aspirations will be taken care of!'
