                              Mommy

Come with me come with me i hear him say,
I said lord please take this pain away,
He said take my hand today is the day,
What about my children? I cant leave them this way
Listen my child, they will be okay ,
Now take my hand there's no other way,
Your body will heal so please don't stray,
from here on out you will be okay,
There dreams will be fulfilled if only they pray,
They will have to take it day by day,
they may not see it now but they will make a way.
Are you ready my child to come with me?
For you are weak an weary my child do you hear me?
I grabbed his hand an let go of my body my spirit rose an i watched my eyes start to close.
My heart stopped beating the room was silent
My family walked in everyone was crying
I died with a smile i am okay,
I'm sorry that it had to end this way,
life has an expiration an this is my time,
I will watch you child of mine,
I never left you I'm in your hearts...in that way we will never depart
Please try to hold on this is gods will, for he called me home..
But Believe me when i say this you are not alone,
When you cry at night i will wipe your tears,
When your worried and afraid i will remove your fears i will bless you until we meet again my beautiful children my best friends.
Heaven is great you will see one day, I'm very sorry i had to leave this way.
We will meet again believe and you will see,
Trust him baby like you trusted me give him your heart an he will set you free
Tell my grand baby's all about me, be the best mother that you can be,
Don't be afraid to face your fears...
I love you forever mommy was here

About this poem

I wrote this poem called mommy cause I needed some kind of understanding after my mothers passing I wanted closure I felt I would never get so I designed a character of her and what she really wanted to say and what her last words would be if she had a chance to speak them to me this poem is what kept me grounded after her death and also helped me with my healing process and the will to keep going .
