I feel Alone

I have so many friends in my life,
But I feel Alone.
I have all my family by my side,
But I feel Alone.
I'm married to the love of my life,
But I feel Alone.
I have the job of my dreams,
But I feel Alone.
I feel the sun on my face,
But I feel Alone.
I'm here in the darkness,
Where I really feel Alone.
I have my Faith and God in my life,
And...I DO NOT feel Alone.

Tina C. Ratley

I'm 57 years old. I've been married for 18 years. I have no children because I was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer years back and I have been in remission since 2009. I do have 3 Fur Babies...Max, Lexi and Kyi-Kyi. I've been writing poems since 2000, they are mostly about family, friends, life and death. I entered a poetry.com contest and won and had my poem published in a book by poetry.com. I won awards, but I couldn't travel at the time, so I didn't receive my awards and that's too bad because I earned those awards. It was a trophy and a copy of the book, which was kind of a big deal for me. I'm still writing poems, actually I received an email from poetry.com reminding me to get my entry in because there were only a few days left. So, instead of sending one of my older poems in, I wrote won today and that's the one I'm sending in. Good luck everyone! more…
