Mrs. P.

When I was 12, I wasn't cool
The final year at Franklin School.
I was just one more student who
Knew not where life would lead him to.

I felt I was another guy
With few friends since I was quite shy.
No one expressed much hope for me,
Until I met Mrs. P.

She saw potential in this boy
And said if I would just employ
More effort and have faith, I could
Do so much more beyond childhood!

The next year I began to try
To work hard and to see if I
Could do more and to my delight,
I soon found out that she was right!
