****

I no longer believe in fairy tails
Since I can only have you when I’m dreaming
So many today speak of a true “love”
I’m convinced they just don’t know the meaning

Hiding my sorrow for numerous years
So many just didn’t understand
That Without you I’m empty and ONLY restored
With the power of my touching your hand

I replay our talks, the one when you said
You’d leave a piece of you here with me
That piece has now grown to resemble the man
Who took with him, the best parts of me

Every day is a constant reminder
As a teenager he’s adopted your voice
I’m forced to keep going without you…
Since life has defaulted my choice

I no longer believe in fairy tails
Since mine can never come true
And I’m left here a shell of what I once was
And only my memories of you
