Once In A Blue Moon

Once In A Blue Moon

I looked up into the night sky
And I saw you gazing at me
As if you marveled at
The double universe
Staring back at you
Wondering why
I watch you.

In my eyes you fill me with awe
The silvery light casts
Your timeless beauty
A luminous glow
So big the intimacy
Touches me from afar
And I shiver.

You are so round, voluminous
All encompassing
The total sum
Metaphor in my aperture
Once in a blue moon
My cosmic soulmate
Lonely no more.
