Til en ung Billedhugger

Hans Christian Andersen 1805 (Odense) – 1875 (Copenhagen)

Til en ung Billedhugger
da han reiste til Italien

Naar snart Du staaer i Rom i Mindets Sale,
Hug stolt dit Navn i Bjergets Marmorsteen;
Saa Eccho runger i Europas Dale:
„Som Thorvaldsen har Danmark endnu Een!"
