It’s you

More than mere sociological repositioning,

Naturalistic selection,
sexual needs or attraction

Of either or of both fact or fantasy,

a coming together of like minds

or just animal magnetism,

need for economic stability
or simply understanding life

as we progress in age
with an increasing urgency

to have a cause, to be effective.

A survival drive, a strategy?

A need for emotional yearnings
yet to be fulfilled

or Freudian mythology

For all
none of the above.

It’s maddening thinking of all
the cause effect relationships
that people go through.

Between you and i

exists a parallel spiritual pathway

i dare to feel whole in its presence.

There is something more special
than meets the eye.

Baby, it’s you.
