To Capture Dreams

I do not use a canvas or
A palette made of wood,
Instead, I have a pencil for
The words I hope are good.

I do not use a brush or paint
To capture thoughts and dreams.
I use my led and ink so quaint
For my poetic schemes.

I do admire the portraits and
The landscapes I have seen
Since they, like poetry still can
Preserve what they can glean.
