Dance of the Mind

In my veins:
In my veins flow a stream
Burning wild ambition,
No time to dream
Only vision.

Wowed by how much potential there could be
Swell my head be
O what I feel!
No prison can hold thee.

The barricades:
I see the barricades woven by them
The stranger-hostile wall by tribal men
Good luck in their quest to chain the wind
I hope they win;
Tell them it's useless to guard the gate
Red with hate,
Brotherhood, spitefully drowned in the sea
In the hood, tribalism roams free.

They hope me quit and flee
How can I quit or flee?
The dawn is young and fill
The wheel of fortune spins
And Fair Fate sings it's will,
How can I quit this dance when on his strength I feed
Consistently
In self-discipline
Prowess
Boldness
And hard work in patience
Wait! Mistake not my courage for impudence.

Signed:
For my defeat they signed
But many a dance l've won with my mind
Thus my joy lieth not in accomplishments nor shine
But in the barricades I pulleth down like the altar of Baal to get to the finish line.

They cast their lots at twilight
I toss my coin to so high
But while they yet seek interpretations
My coin landed and broke the tie
And  the gods smile.

The river:
Beyond the river at  yonder I watch them clamour:
Why thou all splendour and lack we glamour?
This spiteful treat I've learnt to wear like an armor
This spiteful treat has fed my glamour.
