The Freeze

I’ve been left alone in the dark, waiting for long enough. It seems I entered with the wrong audacity, attempting to encourage growth between us. Now, I’ve watched the monumental flames that once burned here dwindle into insignificant ash and memories of ardor.
My warm approach is repudiated by your ice storm, freezing me in cold silence. I find myself in a pit of doubt about my intuition, being attacked by a vicious pack of intrusive thoughts that tear apart my self-worth.
