August 4/2023

I used to think I was a mastermind when it came to relationships
but I think I’m better at losing them rather than keeping them
I met so many people trying to find the same beauty I’ve seen in you on the inside
I have this memory of a girl in a blue dress and rustic brown hair
I look for you in places we used to talk about going though I know you are never there
I had it all when I had you to myself
I’m trapped in Los Angeles while you’re attending school in Amsterdam
should I practice happiness when you eventually find someone a lot better than I am?
if we finally met on the streets would you immediately know my face or would you take a minute trying to recognize me?
I wrote you a letter then realized I had no place to send it to
I think it’s time I finally accept the truth
I’ll never be able to get over you
