Victoria

I don’t recall the day we met
because I had sheltered it away from my mind
the memory of your abuse too difficult to want to remember
but I can recall your piercing eyes like an arrow
shot from the bow of Pandarus himself
you shattered through my soul
as though it were made of glass
and you conquered my heart
through the gates of the naive
at that moment, I had become entirely yours
even though I knew it would ruin me
