The Lamp-Man

He had an idea,
a light in his head.
His new life isn’t clear yet,
it’s blurry instead.

He is drinking his tea,
he is reading his book.
He takes a seat, now,
he sits in the nook.

He stands up tall
and puts his hands,
triangular,
around his head.
“I am the Lamp-Man” He said.

So he got all dressed up
in his suit, and his tie,
and he went to the showing,
his head was held high.

And when he thought they’d applaud,
with love for his creation,
instead, they sat in silence,
showing him no admiration.

And now, Lamp-Man sleeps,
he sleeps wide awake,
and he looks for an exit,
a way to escape.

About this poem

This poem is kind of a silly little thing that is supposed to represent your ideas being shut down by other people. It can be funny or serious, whichever one makes you like it better. I hope you have a good rest of your day :D.
