Curtain call

In a world of confusion
Its all an illusion
Of mentally abusing
The masses at large

It’s not surprising
That humanity
Is downsizing
And mutating into the grotesque
All at the behest
Of the powers that be
That desperately
Want to see
The pedestal
Removed from thee

They crave the chaos
They serve
To blind, agitate and unnerve
And choke the logic
To cause you to swerve
Into the path of self-destruction

It doesn’t seem to matter
How much I warn
That you are the target
Of their scorn

Many before me
Have thrown up a sign
The demons are here
It is not benign

Some say we are in the end of days
With good being evil
And evil being good
Its all backwards
And horribly misunderstood

Nobody seems to believe
And relishes in being deceived
Or perhaps
They simply don’t want to know
Or watch the evil grow
Before their eyes
Or try to stop it’s rise

Maybe this is all in the script
In the book from the crypt
Maybe, this is how it’s supposed to play out
With a Biblical shout
Full of spiritual clout
A divine rout

Of the one who is responsible for this epic mess
Who is always taking more
And giving less
The former second in charge
Who dared to live large
Now the captain of deaths barge
Navigating the sea of souls
Stirring the sulfur and stoking the coals
Drinking the cup bitterness
Brewed from the tears of the damned
Ruler of Hades
Who runs amok in our lands

His army infects
Never rejects
The lost souls he collects
It is the anarchy
Of these days
Which he reflects
It is what he enjoys the most
Our delicious sins
To propose a toast
From a most unforgiving host
Who always stands his post

It is with deep fascination
Of existence’s appropriation
To the cerebral dedication
Of committed masturbation
And deep self-entitled saturation

Such is the case
With the greed
Of the human race

Never satisfied
With what life provides
Always wanting more
Never able to fill the core
Just life’s little
Unfulfilled whore
Such a relentless fucking bore

Somebody please
Close the fucking door
We deserve nothing more

Eric (and sometimes not)
