The Rains Of Succour
The heat is relentless,
Going about ones business,
Is becoming quite tiresome,
Will the suns fury abate,
Or the humid conditions recede,
For us people to live and thrive.
For employees from residence to work,
For students from home to school,
For labourers toiling in the scorching sun,
For commuters in public transport,
For those who are even home makers,
There seems to be no respite.
As we deploy more machines,
To deter the unwavering heat,
The demand for energy,
Is ever increasing to the limit,
Of losing artificial comforting,
With frequent power outages.
So what is it we need,
If not for the clouds to gather,
And shun out the sun for a while,
We wish for a bit of thunder and lightening,
And the skies to open up,
With The Rains of Succour.
