WHO ARE WE

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

What is hidden inside of the picture that the artist never painted, what words were lost in the pages of the book that the author never wrote, what words were missed in the lyrics of a song by a rockstar that never spoke but felt the music?

Who are we to say what art was or should've been? Who are we to say do not be scared? It would be best if you were brave. Who are we to say do not rebel be behave? Who are we to say take that pill even if it makes you more ill

Who are we to judge the things other eyes can see but can not explain? Everybody is always pointing their fat little finger. But not taking the blame. well I am drunk and high again on the person I was meant to be, left up your stubborn head and me lifting my middle finger you might see

Who the hell are we if we cant all get long noticing our place is not always where we belong so i will always be the one raising my voice in protest looking for the answer inside my own peace
