My Antique Doll

Cracked, chipped, broken pretty porcelain skin
Soft fake hair you like wearing on your head
You’re falling apart, I’ll mend you within
I’ll glue you whole, you look partially dead
I will color your face and make it shine
Brown painted eyes that make you look alive
Smooth body, I want it on top of mine
Wear this dress doll, I will bring you to life

Plush pretty pink heart shaped ceramic lips
Stand on your tip toes and give me a kiss
Grab my hand,
I’ll hold your delicate hips
My gorgeous antique Victorian doll,
Open your arms I am starting to fall

Look into my retina as you cry
Tears are causing paint to drip on the floor
All of the signs I stupidly ignored
I know you are guilty, so say no more
I thought you were no one else’s but mine
I wish your beauty never caught my eye
You should have confessed another love formed

I see you are also broken inside
Through empty smiles,
Through all of your white lies
As I shape your broken ceramic face
As the ugly pieces fall into place
Girl, if only you weren’t so broken
We never had to feel like a mistake
Beautiful woman damaged from within
You are just like a doll,
gorgeous and fake.
