Yogurt

Free verse
Her skin is better than mine
Soft like lychee flesh
Shining like glass shards throwing off the sun
The beauty mocks me
My own skin reeks
My attitude rough and ashy

Lips crack and bleed
My life dry and sandy
Dead animal decay
Tangled hair,
slick with grease

You are lotion
Heal my stricken skin
Shoot through my veins,
course through my body
Itch for another high
You call me a monster
I call you a cure

This poem is a bastardized of how I once felt without love. It compares love, beauty, and self destruction with lotion and drugs.
