Your Teapot Tune

Like a melody you played to the tune of my room
inhaling a nose full musty melon scented memory
upon petrichor notes exhaled synchronous gloom
converges in the air when you’d emerge from me

whiskey hours I’d hear low muffled sobs begotten
I’d find for you small deadly flying knives of words
cold and sharp letting fly these rainbows of rotten
aim square just and true leave you at least injured

over your teapot melody hearing the earthen tone
terrifying tremolos of hope despair and disdain
dirty ditty’s notes ring decapitated cold and alone
crisply ringing out through the sky of driving rain

I heard your twisted tracks waiting for pot to boil
now you’ve gone to the station of one way tracks
I’m waltzing warily my trail out of the mortal coil
Into ether zephyr winds of madness smokin crack
