Drown in Bleach ( Razor-blade Tuesdays )

Peewee Cuson 1983 (Indiana)

dichotomy to ascendency seems to me a duality
suitcase of my mind a shimmering murder scene
tempted into fortune’s fires and fickle fingered fate
breeched the hull and the mast and rudder to sate

Razor-blade Tuesdays are drawn on the mirror
messiah is lost as darkened days draw nearer
Clouded hazy days of castles and some moats
rosary and hope lost at sea in a trireme afloat

caged within a parchment page and entombed
thru a wringer binding broken inflamed an’ bruised
in visions of indecisions and superficial wisdoms
need a vocabulary winged to fly out of this prison

martyrdom grifted right from the backs of the gifted
elliptical orbits painted an eight while sand shifted
too sore keep a score anymore so what’s in store
this whole world you live in; life you lead’s a whore

walking sideways on talking sidewalks I’ve thought
hose it down drown in bleach see what you’ve got
Elixirs medicines and grains help numb the pain
sensation’s a thrum necessary to wake the brain
