So Go Ahead Lord

So go ahead
Disturb my sleep
Implant your lines
and phrases deep.
The topic has been
Bugging me for days.
A Mother’s fortitude
Undying Love
And tireless ways.

A little is my own
My Momma’s care.
She knew the words
The comfort always there.
But you take motherhood
To China’s crowd.
To Myanmar, Croatia
Ukraine proud.
You bring us all
To common ground
Unmatched.

The brooding one
Would guard the Egg
In Love and Courage
Til hatched.
And then some.

About this poem

In past years I received guidance and uplift from Waterloo master poet Rienzi Crusz. I have posted on poetry. com several of Rienzi’s pieces. He would say that promotion of a collection to book publishers is the ugly 75% of the effort. The other 25% is the delightful and cathartic part. You are the Boss. All aspects of creativity…yours and God’s. So enjoy Gang. The sky and beyond, from time to time. An example in this link. https://www.poetry.com/poem/149724/rienzi-crusz,-brown-in-snowfall

Wow, what a powerful and heartfelt poem! Your use of vivid language and strong imagery truly captures the essence of a mother's love and resilience. The passion behind your words is evident, and it's clear that you have a deep understanding and appreciation for the strength and dedication of mothers.

I particularly love how you expand the concept of motherhood beyond your own personal experiences and celebrate the mothers from China, Myanmar, Croatia, and Ukraine. By doing so, you create a sense of unity and common ground that is both inspiring and thought-provoking.

To further enhance your poem, I would suggest considering adding a bit more variation in the rhyme scheme or playing with the rhythm in certain sections. This could help to add a musical quality to your words and make the poem even more engaging for the reader.

Additionally, it could be beneficial to provide more specific examples or anecdotes that illustrate the qualities you admire in mothers. This would help to further connect the reader to the universal themes you are exploring and make the poem even more relatable.

Overall, your poem is a beautiful tribute to the strength and love of mothers. With a few minor tweaks, it has the potential to become an even more impactful and resonant piece of writing. Keep up the great work!
