A Dying World
Brandon Wooden 1984 (Greenville, NC)
As I sit in my car and wonder
Has this world become a shame
To its creator who has no part in the sins of lust
Desiring the same acts as Sodom and Gomorrah
To reap the same punishment as they once did
Challenging the intelligence of the mind
Who created all beings
Angering the GOD who has the ability to destroy all things
Has this world become mad
To think it’s the one GOD sent his son to die for
To hang on a tree and place in a tomb to lie for
To be raised from the dead just to witness the wickedness with tears flowing from his face saying this is the same world I chose to sacrifice my life for
A world without knowledge
It’s only hope is to pursue death
To be as though it was in the days of Noah
Seeking to burn with no wisdom knowing who GOD is has not GOD forbid
Of course HE did
But we living in a time
When everything is being done
There’s never nothing new under the sun
A dying world this has become
