And I numb my heart again and again-but it
won't stay cold

I've hurt too long-my wounds too deep
I can control it until I fall asleep
My subconscious strobes-it slashes-it cuts
A dream-but real I can't wake up
Replays again for me to see all the things that can’t ever be
It slashes Deep-it carves- it cuts
It never stops- it can't get enough
Of all the things that once were me
That once was happy or once was free
It likes that taste of misery
So real- but no one else can see
