BEST FRIENDS BIRTHDAY

Here it is, your special day
And I'm not quite certain what to say
A “Happy Birthday” is always nice
But you're so special, that won't suffice
It's hard to put into words, how much I care for you
You seem to be a part of me, and everything I do
It feels like it's always been this way- though it hasn't been that long
Since you changed my life forever- just by making me belong
I have no words adequate, for how you make me feel
Never in my life have I experienced something this real
You picked me up and sheltered me, when I could have gotten lost
You gave me all you have, and there's never been a cost
For your birthday I wish I had something valuable to give
But right now I've nothing to offer-in this crazy life I live
It would take a million dollars to show you what you're worth to me
And 100,000 diamonds could never equal the sparkle in you I see
Though you are so humble, you possess a heart of gold
And as beautiful as you are, your inner beauty's triple-fold
It's by knowing someone like you, I recognize I'm truly blessed
With you standing on my side, I don't worry about the rest
For your birthday all I can give you are these words that are sincere
And my smiles and conversation and just having me be near
It doesn't seem like much, but by being your friend I've learned
It's about giving all you have, and expecting nothing in return
So Happy Birthday Beautiful!  I hope all your birthday dreams come true
