Life's Sentance

Mitch hagen 1992 (Vancouver)

It's lonely in behind these bars,

It's dark even during the day.

Trying to keep my mindset free,

But my thoughts are led astray.

I listen to my inner voice,

Because that's the one that's wise.

I am my own worst enemy,

When that voice starts telling lies.

I'm left with myself to wonder,

Just when will I get out?

My sentance should be over soon,

Life clouds my mind with doubt.

Mitch hagen

To put things blunt, I'm currently in active drug addiction. Have been since I was very young. The poems I write reflect my struggle but also my fight. I like to write about my feelings, family, friend's, and of course my addiction. I put a lot of thought into each poem and each and every one was written from deep inside my soul. I hope you enjoy them, if you do or you don't please don't hesitate to leave some feedback. Born in Vancouver BC Canada, raised in Prince George BC Canada, currently living in Edmonton AB Canada. more…

This is good. It needs more! You’re opening up. The people that read our stuff have never lived it! They want to be in vogue because they are in the vicinity of those who’ve truly walked thru Hell, but don’t want the soot on their expensive clothes.

F*** then! I’m not saying play to them. You’re playing to us…travelers just like you that express our pain thru words.

You’re tickling the tip of the iceberg here. Add more. Hell, we could make this a country song!
