Life's Sentance

Rhymed
It's lonely in behind these bars,

It's dark even during the day.

Trying to keep my mindset free,

But my thoughts are led astray.

I listen to my inner voice,

Because that's the one that's wise.

I am my own worst enemy,

When that voice starts telling lies.

I'm left with myself to wonder,

Just when will I get out?

My sentance should be over soon,

Life clouds my mind with doubt.

Mitch hagen

To put things blunt, I'm currently in active drug addiction. Have been since I was very young. The poems I write reflect my struggle but also my fight. I like to write about my feelings, family, friend's, and of course my addiction. I put a lot of thought into each poem and each and every one was written from deep inside my soul.
