Nearly Departed

Rhymed
In a cemetery I heard a heart pumping
Over a recently dug grave bed
Fist on the coffin lid thumping
Pleading from someone undead

Could I be dreaming
Wondering while looking around
Still hearing the screaming
Coming from under the ground

My hands on my chest
Surprised by the tombstone epitaph
It was me, just laid to rest
Reading it made me laugh
