He proposed

Ballad
He was young
so was I
we sat together
in a big stuffed chair
we hadn't dated very long
 we were here
saying I love you
singing my song
Holding my hand
looking at me
asking me to be his wife
living with him
all of our life

 how  loved him
promises vowed
living together
laughing out loud
crying many tears
 for he has been gone
 many long years
