The Rendering Up (psalm 22)

Had He been able
To write with His own blood
and Fingers.
On tablet.
The import of His final services
And self-offering, passively.
The Testimony would have
Been complete.
The giving up of Himself.
Un-assisted to hateful,
heartless minions.
Because incorruptible.
Un-dying.
Unstained by wrongdoing
Or compromise.

But rather the whole thing
Had to come in Parable.
Discerned by hurting
Searching Faith alone.
In following days.
The walk through scorning jeers.
The pathetic piercing Crown
The signage, that He was King.
The raising up, like some prop.
The soldiers tossing dice. (Psalm 22:18)
The storm of Creator’s indignation.
The seven final assertions.
The letting go, voluntarily.
“It is Finished/Accomplished.”

Job done.
Redemption won.
And angels can see
His approaching Triumph.
