Selfish Humanity- Redbrae Road , Kirkintilloch

The flash car flashed passed me in a great rush
And I wondered what was he rushing to ?
Further up the road I saw the result
A dying blackbird twitching its last move.
Which made me to ask myself why, oh, why
Did he drive so fast, nothing came to mind ?
Did he not see nor care to see it die ?
Nor see the remnant of life left behind ?
Killed for no more reason than a fat man
Rushing his food then catching his breath
For feasting at a fast food restaurant
So that he too can rush to his own death.
