Love Of War

Violent war is
Something that needs to happen.

The death of humans is
Essential.

Not for any set reason
Just for my own enjoyment.

I smile in glee
When the bombs are dropped and the fires rage.

I have a fluttery feeling in my stomach
As the lands are ravaged, filled with mines and trenches.

I watched an innocent person die on the battlefield,
Their breaths were slowly getting shallower.
I’d never forget this man.
The memory fueled me and
I grew stronger.
Love
Is useless.

Open the history books.
War hasn’t changed.
People still kill people over the smallest things.
With fiery pride
I see Spartans.
A whole culture based on war.
If only I could go back in time.
I could say hate is what really fuels us.
