War On Love
A terrible thing
Is Love.
Unnecessary and Pointless
Things, Care and Passion are.
I want to give everything I am to not
Change how things are.
Love is eternal but
It’s always causing pain.
When someone loves me truly
I want to forget it because the HURT people deserve love more.
My heart slowly cracking,
I swore.
Because the lack of love killed me,
I promised to never let it happen again.
Promising I would learn to spread
Pain.
My stomach drops when I
See that
Love is futile.
I remind myself,
Things have changed.
People all around me, we are not
Giving when we can.
I could say that things have gotten better,
But I’d be lying.
