I DO WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

I can not turn around, and I can no longer walk away. I survived my death only to be born again with a louder voice because the Gods sent me with words of wisdom and truth not to speak but say. I am my savior, the only poor bastard saving me, so even though we walk alone, take my hand. There's something that we all must see.

I hear the laughter, and I feel the cries. You can not kill nor destroy what hides inside, so here is the nightly news report of the man who you coined the beast is coming not from north-south or west. This storm will be hitting you from all directions, not just the east.

I do what needs to be done. I will leave my mark because you have been so disconnected for so damn long trying to destroy the beast of the man that your noise inside the silence does not understand.

I do what needs to be done soon. I will not be the only one. I paid my way with my blood and my death. You did not realize I still have air in my lungs and one last whirlwind of breath.

My questions are no longer Why me because my answer will now always be Do not count me out but come on and try me when I do what needs to be done. I have a life that needs to be won
