The Deception

Dreading in my own thoughts

Drowning in my own tears
feeling the warmth of the sun on my skin,
hearing a lovely melody emanating from the birds.

Perhaps it’s a sign from the Almighty.

Will I be free?

Am I doomed to live in misery forever?

Who is this Almighty?

why should the Almighty save me?

drowning in my own sorrow for so many years.

I’ve wondered the difference between a serpent and an angel

a face like an angel with an angelic voice

yet, move venomously.

oh! the uncertainty.

oh!  the deception.
