To Be A Child
Oh to be a child
And know the things I know
Wouldn’t life be wild
Without a care to show?
There seems to be a freedom
That only the young can share
Relieved of this world’s burdens
No responsibility to bear;
Why must we lose the happiness
That ignorance affords?
To miss the bliss of poppers
To gain the bane of Lords
About this poem
In consideration of what is lost when becoming an adult
