My brother, there is destiny O!
Joseph was hated for no reason. Simply because he dreamt dreams, his brothers sold him away.
Joseph fared well in Egypt;
Potipher loved him and put him in charge of his house; but then, Potipher's wife wanted Joseph to make love to her.
Joseph refused and went to jail on a false accusation.
While in prison, Joseph interpreted two dreams, which came to pass.
Two years later, Pharaoh dreamt a dream, which none of his magicians and enchanters could interpret except Joseph.
Pharaoh was grateful, and made him prime minister, and he supervised the selling of food in Egypt during famine, which lasted for seven years.
Then his brothers came to buy food in Egypt, because the famine was sever, and also in Canaan.
Joseph recognised his brothers, but forgave them.
Joseph's entire family eventually went to live in Egypt.
About this poem
Joseph is a popular character in the Holy Bible. His brothers hated him, and his father loved him, and made him a coat of many colours. His brothers hated him the more because of his dreams, and sold him to Ishmaelite traders who sold him to Potipher, one of Pharaoh's officers. While in Egypt, he resisted the temptation to sleep with Potipher's wife, who told a lie against him. Joseph went to prison and interpreted two dreams of two Pharaoh's officers. One of the men was released, while the other was hanged. Two years later, Pharaoh dreamt a dream, which Joseph was able to interprete correctly. He was made prime minister in Egypt. Famine arose in palestine,and his brothers came to buy food in Egypt. Joseph was in charge, and recognised them, but treated them kindly , and forgave them.
