Uncertainty Lingers

Uncertainty Lingers

Uncertainty lingers, as my heart fears,
Shattered like glass, should nightmares appear,
Yet, shall I abandon hope or dreams in sight?
No, never shall I yield to the night.

Suppose wealth and fame come my way,
Desires fulfilled, fortune at play,
Would I cease my prayers, my learning forego?
No, never shall I forget what I know.

In battles fought, if I face defeat,
And fruits of labor fail to meet,
Would I cease to strive or work anymore?
No, never shall I close that door.

Success and heights, beyond my belief,
Should I achieve them, would I find relief,
Would I stop giving, caring for others' plight?
No, never shall I withhold that light.

With everything within me, steadfast and firm,
Why entertain the uncertain term?
When all around, good fortune takes form,
Why dwell on "what if," in endless storm?

Life's vast experiences beckon and call,
Why fixate on "what if," and risk the fall?
Embrace the present, its treasures unfold,
Why ponder "what if," when life's stories are told?
