Divinity

My love is ethereal.
An experience words lack the weight to express.
Without a single touch, I electrify every fiber of your existence.
Awakening passions once oblivious to you.
You will never know another as I.
Without a single touch, I will show you what it is to be discovered.
Without a single touch, I will show you what it means to be desired, to be craved.
Without a single touch, I will show you the pure value of your essence…….
I pour into you, refreshing and replenishing like the waters of Spring, you will never thirst.
You will never question, you will never doubt, you will never lack.
Inspired. Elated. Speechless. I will leave you in awe.
I want you beyond physical expression.
I want your intellect.
I want your wit.
I want your tenderness.
Your charisma, your passions, your drive.
Your trepidation, your diffidence, your afflictions.
I will take it all.
I want every ember that is you.
I want you at your rawest.
You are my divine.
My love never stops, it never slows, it never falters.
Healing. Empowering. Invigorating.
My love will transcend dimensions to find you in every life you experience.
My love will consume every shred of your being.
There’s no place to run. No place to hide.
You can’t escape it.
Once given, my love is yours.

I love this poem because of the feelings it evokes. It takes love--a broad, complex feeling--and distills it down to its purest form. That purest form of lust. Love is not a feeling purely physical, but spiritual. Love is eternal. Love is healing. Love is arrogance. That feeling of love, that feeling that you are the best for someone. It is brash, assuming you are this person's vessel of life. But that is how love acts. Love catches you by surprise, and you are freed once you are within its grasp. To love is to live life.
