Still Yearning

Tristen 2002 (United States)

As time passes, my worry grows
My burning heart still yearn for her.
Days pass by, I tell myself constantly
This is the end, thoughts, feelings and all.
Yet every morning she's in my mind
And despite my best efforts
I still think of her.
I remember still, months ago
When thoughts of her brightened my day
Her voice would sooth my mind
And burn all my worries away
Her smile would light my world
And make me happy in bliss
How I miss those days.
Now I wake crying in pain
As my heart despite her rejection
Yearns for her, for she I thought would be with me forever.
God, I miss her.
